NBYFL's Football and Cheer Coaches are volunteers whose dedication, commitment and giving go above and beyond the scope of "time" which we see of them coaching on-field at practices and games.

Did you know that in addition to all the on-field hours during practice and game season (which at a minimum is about 15 hours per week and approx 225+ hours for the season alone), our Football Coaches spend an additional 250+ in off-field hours on top of that?  On average, our Coaches spend about 500 hours per year serving as volunteers for our program.

Throughout the year and season our Coaches are planning, strategizing, training, analyzing, mentoring, reviewing, scouting, attending League meetings, promoting, working at and attending events and fundraisers geared toward off-setting the cost of registration for all as well as affording our participants state-of-the-art equipment. Our Coaches are also always recruiting and digging into their own pockets over and over again for the benefit of all our youth participants. Surrounding area programs have registration fees upwards of $300 and $400, compared to ours of $145. It cost our league on average around $240 per player to outfit a tackle player for the season.

Each year, our Football Coaches attend clinics as well as continuing education courses geared to staying current in best practices. Our Football Coaches undergo extensive background checks and fingerprinting and are required to take the USA Football Certification Courses, Heads-Up Tackle and Safety Training each year.

Most of our Coaches have children or have had children in our League's programs. Our Coaches are often seen throughout the community all year long involved with other youth programs and mentoring our area's youth beyond the football and cheer framework.

Our Coaches are dedicated to the League's Mission Statement, our Safety First Policies and are committed to our Code of Conduct Agreement. Our Coaches work together with professionalism across our divisions sharing in aspects of training, resources, techniques, skills assessment and development. This kind of collaboration and cooperation throughout the levels of play helps our players and cheerleaders to succeed and advance, as well as creates a highly positive instructional and learning environment.

Our Coaches, Players and Cheerleaders though organized by separate levels/teams/squads, proudly form ONE Braves Nation.
