Policy

    1. No substantial part of the activities of this corporation shall consist of carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the corporation shall not participate or intervene in any political campaign (including the publishing or distribution of statements) on behalf of any candidate for public office.

      2. NYBFL is a nonprofit, noncommercial, nonsectarian, and nonpartisan organization. It shall not donate or endorse candidates for any office, intervene in political campaigns of any size or at any level, without exception. NYBFL will promote on behalf of its donors and sponsors, as such, without agenda or bias.

        3. Only a sitting President of the Board of Officers is permitted to sign on behalf of the League, commit NBFYL to expenditure or enter it into contracts or agreements, after receiving a majority vote of the Board of Officers in support, in accordance with Article VIII, Section 14.

          4. All fund-raising activities undertaken for the benefit of NBYFL shall be subject to the approval and supervision of the Board of Officers. All proceeds will benefit NBYFL toward its goals and objectives in serving its youth participants.

            5. NBYFL will conduct its activities so that the physical and moral welfare of the youth for whose benefit it is organized shall remain paramount and all matters of Policy shall be determined on that basis. 

              6. NBYFL prohibits any direct advertising of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products in connection with NBYFL or any of its programs.

                7. Parent(s) or legal guardian(s), along with participants, will be required to furnish all pertinent registration information including a registration application, waiver of liability, an executed health and injury waiver, executed player's code of conduct, executed PGV code of conduct, payment of the required registration fee.

                  8. NYBFL, its Trustees, Officers and volunteers are not responsible or liable for injury or harm to participants, volunteers, parents, visitors, spectators, etc., at any practices, in any games, any travel to and from and attendance at any practices, games or League sponsored activities. 

                    9. Privacy. NBYFL only collects personal information when a participant registers in our programs and/or makes purchases in our online store. Our members privacy and confidentiality is important to us. NBYFL does not sell, trade, rent or share our members information with third parties or others beyond the scope of our service needs. Personal information is collected and used solely for the purpose of billing, shipping and membership services. From time to time, NBYFL may engage a third party to process your information on our behalf. However, none of our affiliates, such as our banking institution or our credit card services company, have permission to retain, share, store or use personal information gleaned from NBYFL for any purpose other than providing NBYFL’s requested service.

                      10. Operation Policies. Policies and procedures further governing NBYFL to ensure compliance with the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws herein, and to organize, direct and conduct business for the furtherance of its cause as described in Article II, herein, can be enacted or amended by majority vote of the Board of Officers at any regular meeting, or any time and any voting means (i.e. in person, by mail, by email) when provided to the Board of Officers in writing with ample review time. An Operation Policies Manual shall be maintained by the Board of Officers, agreed to by and available to all Trustees, Officers, Directors, staff, other volunteers, and members.

                        11. Record Keeping and Document Retention. NBYFL will comply with applicable Federal and State Tax codes and regulations with regard to document retention and record keeping. All meeting minutes for Board of Trustees and Board of Officers with back-up, details, and full account of voting records, as well as annual and treasurer reports will be maintained and preserved indefinitely.
