    1. Selection. Occurs as provided for in Article VII of the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws and as follows where not provided for:

      1. Head Coaches are recruited, presented and appointed by majority vote of the Board of Officers (and by blind ballot if even one officer requests it), and must meet the standards and requisites of the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
        1. If an assistant coach would like the opportunity to be a Head Coach, a written submission of interest may be submitted to the President for review with the Board of Officers.
        2. If more than one coach is interested in being the Head Coach at any level, the Board of Officers shall vote on it.
      2. Assistant Coaches are identified, recruited and presented by Head Coaches for approval of the Board of Officers, and must be fully vetted and meet the standards and requisites of the League’s Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.

      2. Termination. Coaches may resign, or be removed by action from the Board of Officers, for any reason at any time as provided for in Article VII, Paragraph 3 of the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.

        3. Responsibility.

          1. Head Coaches are responsible for:
            1. Attending all meetings (as required)
            2. Assisting with and attending all NBYFL activities and events
            3. Recruiting for players and volunteer participants
            4. Complete organization and handling of their respective level, including but not limited to assigning team/level volunteers, practice schedules, communications with players, parents and League
            5. Making every attempt to attend all practices and games
            6. Delegation of responsibilities to Assistant Coaches and volunteers for their respective levels
            7. Assuring playing time for players consistent with MCYFL guidelines
            8. Recruiting chain-linesmen at home games in coordination with the League's Rec Coordinator
            9. Report all injuries in game play or league activity to the President and Safety Officer
          2. All coaches are bound by the PVG Code of Conduct Agreement.
          3. All Coaches shall keep an open line of communication with the players, parents and League.
          4. All coaches shall follow the rules and guidelines put forth by the Board of Officers.
          5. All coaches must run and support the offense chosen by the Board of Officers. All levels will run the same offense to encourage growth and transition between levels.
          6. All coaches are expected to promote and to adhere to NBYFL’s Mission as provided for in the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
          7. All Coaches must abide by MCYFL rules that apply to its member associations.
          8. All Coaches must obtain the training, background check and fingerprinting required by NBYFL.
          9. Coaches should not directly coach or focus on instructing their own kids in practice or at play-- allow another coach to instruct your child(ren) in the program.
          10. All Coaches are expected to assist with and attend all NBYFL activities and events.
          11. All Coaches are expected to assist the League in developing sponsorships, donations, promotional materials, awareness and branding.

          4. Meetings

            1. Attendance at Monthly Coaches Meetings is mandatory for Head Coaches, unless otherwise excused by the President. Head Coaches may be excused, for good cause, up to 4 meetings. If more than four meetings are missed, consecutively or otherwise and without good cause, a Head Coach may lose his/her position as determined by a vote of governing Board of Officers.
            2. Coaches are encouraged to attend Monthly Coaches Meetings, but are expected to attend at least five (5) meetings per annum.
            3. Staff Volunteers or others serving the League under the Staff umbrella do not attend Board or Coaches Meetings, unless and only if invited to do so by the President of the League.
