In an effort to further foster our League's commitment to, mission and program goals for the benefit our our youth participants, NBYFL is proud to offer its Players and Cheerleaders the Player Pin Award Program.

Nominate your football player or cheerleader, at any time, to be recognized at the end of a Season for his/her outstanding achievements in Academics, the Arts, Charitable Acts and/or Community Service. These are all areas off-the-field and outside the game where we encourage our youth participants to excel.

The Player Pin Award Program is a means to help the League demonstrate to our participants the importance and value we place on their efforts and achievement across the board.

Pins are awarded at the end of each Season by our Board who reviews and votes on which nominations meet the "outstanding" and "extraordinary" award criteria. Participants receiving Pins will be recognized in the League's eNews and on the League's website. Pins are usually awarded at the end of season banquets.

Pins can be fastened to a hat, lanyard, a retired jersey, etc., for safe collecting/keeping. Parents may wish to help players keep track of these awards as they can make a nice addition to building your youth's resume.

There are no limits to how many times or to which categories a player/cheerleader may be nominated. However, each nomination should be for a new/different achievement.

The League has 3 Player Pin awards:

1) The Excellence Pin for extraordinary charitable acts and/or community service.

2) The Brilliant Pin for outstanding academic achievement (i.e. Honor Roll or equivalent, mastery of a core subject, etc.).

3) The Exceptional Pin for extraordinary achievement in the arts, music, electives, foreign language, etc.
