The Trophy Game is a long standing tradition (30+ years) whereby each Saturday of Labor Day weekend every year, Newton Braves Youth Football versus Mount Olive Youth Football (all tackle levels compete) in a tournament style type game series. This squaring off each year of the Newton and Mt. Olive programs has been dubbed the "Trophy Game". This is a tournament type day where the winning League of the day takes home a much coveted trophy and bragging rights. Newton and Mt. Olive do not currently meet in Regular Season play, only on Trophy Game day. The Trophy Game is played at Newton High School in odd years, and at Turkey Park in Mt. Olive in even years.
This is a big day for our youth program. We encourage all our players to be present and in full force, as well as all our families and fans to come out and cheer us on as loudly and robustly as possible. Go BRAVES!
