This document outlines how to get started using MillMax. 

 

·       THE MILLMAX SOFTWARE HAS BEEN LOADED ON YOUR COMPUTER:

o   Take Lessons 1-9 on MyMSC

o   If the MillMax software is not on your computer or has not been loaded properly, please reach out to one of the following associates on our IT team:

·       WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR KIT:

o   Take Lessons 10-12 on MyMSC

 

·       IF YOU RECEIVE A PRACTICE STAND:

o   Take Lessons 13-15 on www.taptest.co/training

o   If you did not receive a practice stand, you can skip these lessons

 

·       WHEN YOU ARE IN FRONT OF A MACHINE:

o   Take Lessons 16-17 on www.taptest.co/training or download the PowerPoint slides

 

·       Before you start tap-testing tools, you will need to update the Sensor Database. Each kit has a unique database with the calibration factors for its specific hammer and accelerometer. It is important to become proficient at updating databases, as we will be adding new products throughout the year. Here are the instructions: https://youtu.be/3yq-9GZxuw8

 

·       If you have any error messages in MillMax, before you call Dave Barton, please do the following:

1.     Make sure the kit is fully connected.

2.     Check all the cables’ threaded connections are tight.

3.     Make sure the dongle is inserted.

4.     Restart/reboot your computer.

5.     Restart MillMax.

 

·       Dashboard not working? Check to make sure these essential fields are not blank.

1.     In Machine Details; Machine Tool Max RPM

2.     In Machine Details; Machine Tool Max HP

3.     In Tool Details; Cutter Diameter

4.     In Tool Details; Cutter Length of Cut

5.     In Tool Details; Cutter Number of Teeth

6.     A Material has been selected.

 

·       Here is what happens to Dashboards if any of the above missing data is missing:

·       If you are having problems with MillMax, please send Dave Barton the TXF file and then email, text or call with a description of the issue. Here is how to easily send a file:
