The MillMax Impact Calculator is designed to quickly show a customer the financial impact MillMax can have on their operations. It is formatted for use on iPads, but can also be accessed on a PC. The calculator is available online at www.taptest.co/millmax. If you do not have internet access you can down load the attached Windows program below.

The opening screen shows a pie chart of the typical cost to produce a part, according to Sandvik and others. The blue slice is labor cost, orange is the cost of the machine, red is the material cost, yellow is the tooling cost and purple is overhead or everything else it costs to run the shop (utilities, rent, etc.).

Touch the Tool Cost Tab.

To show the impact of just offering discounts on tools without adding any other value touch this button.

Now, select FREE discount. In other words what if they could get the tooling for free.

This small green sliver is all the impact it would have on their costs, just 3%.

Now, touch the MillMax Impact tab.

Ask the customer what their target profit margin is on their jobs. Touch the "+" button to increase the percentage. In this example we set it at 20%.

Their profit margin shows up as a green slice on the pie chart.

Next we are going to show the impact of MillMax. Touch on this button.

The current average productivity improvement from MillMax is 200%, that is we are increasing the amount of metal removed by THREE TIMES (FYI - 100% improvement is doubling productivity).

You have taken them from 20% to 62.7% profit margin.

Next ask them the percentage of their operation or a particular part is milling. Touch this button.

For this example we are going to select 90%. 90% of this part is milled, the other 10% is for other operations like drilling.

The profit margin reduces but is still significant.
