Principles
Design loads are different in each country as a result of different national standards and building codes. Loads also depend on location and use and appropriate combinations of wind load, snow load, permanent load and imposed load.
A CE mark simply shows the thickness of glass or composition of an IGU. Selection of an appropriate glass is carried out to national standards and methodologies.
Standards
Nominal thicknesses are shown on the CE mark. Allowable tolerances are given in the relevant product standard for the type of glass.
Method of test
There is no method of test.
Classification
There is no classification; product dimension is given.
CE Marking
UK building regulations do refer to loads on building envelopes.
