Because "Initialization" is now automatically triggered when you open MillMax, if you do not have the DAQ unit (the small box the hammer and accelerometer cables connect to) installed, that is, its USB cable plugged in to your PC, you will get this warning. Be sure to plug in the DAQ unit and your dongle before opening the MillMax software.
If you are using the software to enter or edit data and not tap-testing, you can stop the initialization process, before this error pop-up, by simply pressing the ESC key on your computer.
