This occurs when you open a file WITHOUT the kit attached and initialization can't find the hardware. Solutions is to either connect the kit or press ESC on your keyboard when the red "initialization" light flashes.

If this error persists after restarting MillMax, try rebooting Windows to reset the audio codec that drives the interface. This error can also be caused by a defective USB port. Try another USB port on your computer.
