Why does my measurement have a 20 kHz bandwidth?

If you did not use this opening screen to select your tool type,

then you may get an improper bandwidth and sensor setting. This could happen if you start to add a new job after completing the first one that you selected with the above menu.

In Setup, click on the Measurement Tab. If the Measurement Bandwidth dropdown is left blank, it will select 20 kHz even though that is not one of the choices. If it is blank, select 10 kHz for all solid carbide endmills and 5 kHz for all indexable tools. 

Next, click on the Sensors tab. For Indexable face mills, select the 086C03 Hammer w/Mass under Stimulus (Hammer). Be sure to screw the mass weight to the back of the hammer before using.
