UPDATE: Use the Trochoidal Milling Setting in Setup
Dashboard shows red at customer’s current stable parameters.
Open Calibrate Materials calculator. Select same material code (e.g. N2)
Enter current stable Radial depth, width of cut or stepover.
Keeping DOC (Ap) constant, reduce WOC (Ae) until dial shows yellow or green
Enter that Radial Depth of Cut (Ae) into the Dashboard Stable DOC field.
Close the Dashboard and Click on “Setup”.
Click on “Material Details”
Check the “Show All Fields” box.
Enter that Radial Depth of Cut (Ae) into the Dashboard Stable DOC field.
Enter the new Cutting Stiffness. In this case: 57435
Click OK
We don’t want to change the default material settings so click No.
Generate New Dashboard
Use the new calibrated Dashboard to optimize speeds, feeds and depths of cut.
